ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH
Life is beautiful! Well, we don’t feel it all the time. We may find ourselves in challenging situations when we have conflicts, when we feel we get stuck, feel ourselves overwhelmed or on the verge of falling apart. Life tests us again and again and sometimes we can struggle with that. In these situations we can pass the test and learn something new from our experience or we can fail and get stuck in an unhelpful state of mind feeling our life is a failure. We would love to connect, achieve goals, feel useful ourselves and being well-balanced around all the people we love. Change is in our hand! We need to learn how to use our inner resources. Sometimes it is hard to do it alone, because we are human. We live well if we are connected with each other. We also need each other to have a mirror, to see ourselves genuinely. To be authentic and to resolve our conflicts we need to discover our inner blindspots, the places in our psyche where our painful and undesirable parts live. We can do this only if we feel safe, accepted and loved. We can learn how to be conscious and take responsibility instead of looking for a scapegoat.
The theory of mental health is connected to Carl Rogers, who was a humanistic psychologist, and a pedagogue. He wrote about peoples' way of life. He believed that humans have one basic motive to fulfil one's potential and achieve the highest level of human beingness we can. People can flourish and reach their potential if their environment is good enough. People need to be connected socially. Taking responsibility and being genuine is also the key to support each other well. This means we need to be honest, be conscious with our emotions, the processes in our soul and communicate them well in accordance with our behaviour. Trust and reliability are the two most important factors in a helping connection. When our goal is to become well mentally it means our goal is to become a genuine and self-conscious person because this way we can create authentic and balanced relations.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE SESSIONS
I help firstly via Online. If you would like to meet up personally let me know and if we are able to make it we will! For online counselling you will need a camera, and great internet connection.
Sessions are 60 minutes in length. Delay is not a problem for me, but keep in mind we have to end the sessions in time. If you cancel a session in 24 hours you need to pay for it.
You can pay by bank transfer, personally by cash. For further information about prices feel free to contact me!
If you decide you ask for help, please write a brief paragraph outlining your issues and feel free to ask about any more practical information you need. I will respond to you as soon as possible and then we can organise the first appointment.
The first appointment is about getting to know each other. I will listen to you, why you came to me. We introduce ourselves to each other and I will tell you the rules how the helping process works, what can you expect. We will talk through your problem and I will be interested in your personal goal. If you can’t define it don't worry, I will help you! After we draw up that we discuss the timing and the number of sessions required, and how regularly we will meet. We will make a verbal contract and I suggest not to quit during the process. You can find the helping key in your conflicts and happenings. If you can understand what is happening and why it can be your help! After the first session if one of us feel that I wouldn't be the right type of help for you - and you are interested - I will help you to find another expert!
Counselling is based on Mental Health Theory. In this process the fundamental keys are trust, honesty and authenticity. I do not heal mental illnesses, I don't use therapy and don't make diagnosis. I help to improve your self-consciousness with empathy to be able to reach your inner resources and bring them to the surface to take responsibility. I will be your mirror. I will express what I see and feel about you. I give advice only if I feel it is necessary. I don’t make decisions instead of you because it is not my task to show you the way in which direction you should go. I trust in your capability and responsibility to know what is good for you. I won't judge you I will listen to you with acceptance and trust, focused on you and your problem. Keep in mind, soul and heart that honesty is the best helper! You can reach and understand your inner world via him.

HOW I BECAME A HELPER? PERSONAL EXPERIENCES
I was 23 years old when I first met the mental health theory. I was struggling to resolve my inner conflicts when I met my helper. The strength I found in these talks, the self-reflection, becoming more self-aware helped me change my private and work life as well. As a piano teacher I realised my students' mental state is more important to me than to achieve results in time. We can play music by heart only if we can open up ourselves, if we can concentrate, and if we are able to indulge empathetically into our and others’ feelings. I graduated in mental health counseling at Károli Gáspár University. Since then I help people in private talking sessions or when I teach my students music and piano. In Budapest at Budai Allergy Center I also worked as a helper in the Lifestyle Medicine Program.
